Introduction

Installation

If you purchased an extension from Magento Marketplace then click on the How to Install Magento 2 Extension to install the extension.


If you purchased an extension from Solwin Site then follow the below steps to install the extension.

Installation Process

Note: Please take a backup of your all Magento files and database before installing or updating any extension.

Download the extension file:
  1. Download the Customer Feedback extension .ZIP file from solwininfotech.com using your Solwin Infotech website account.
  2. Extract the .ZIP file which contains another .ZIP files.
  3. If you have purchased the extension for the Community Edition, then you will see the extension .ZIP file for Magento 2.1.x, Magento 2.2.x, Magento 2.3.x, and Magento 2.4.x version.
    If you have purchased the extension for the Enterprise Edition, then you will see the extension .ZIP file for Magento 2.1.x, Magento 2.2.x and Magento 2.3.x version.
Extension Installation

For Magento 2 Community Edition,

  1. If you are using Magento 2.1.x then you need to extract solwin-customerfeedback-m2-2.1.x.zip file.
    If you are using Magento 2.2.x then you need to extract solwin-customerfeedback-m2-2.2.x.zip file.
    If you are using Magento 2.3.x, Magento 2.4.x then you need to extract solwin-customerfeedback-m2.zip file.

For Magento 2 Enterprise Edition,

  1. If you are using Magento 2.1.x then you need to extract solwin-customerfeedback-m2-EE-2.1.x.zip file.
    If you are using Magento 2.2.x then you need to extract solwin-customerfeedback-m2-EE-2.2.x.zip file.
    If you are using Magento 2.3.x then you need to extract solwin-customerfeedback-m2-EE.zip file.

Following 2 to 6 steps are the same for Community and Enterprise edition.

  1. Copy the app folder and paste it into your magento ROOT directory.

  2. Run upgrade command as specified : php bin/magento setup:upgrade.
  3. Run deploy command as specified : php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy -f.
  4. Clear the cache either from the admin panel or command line php bin/magento cache:clean.
  5. Now, you can see the Solwin menu in admin panel. Please go to Solwin -> Customer Feedback -> Configuration and select Enable to Yes.
  6. Change/Set all other options as per your requirements and save settings.

NOTE : Make sure the installation is done from under the FTP administrator account. Otherwise make sure to set 775 permissions to the store root directory after the extension is deployed.

Customer Feedbacks extension for Magento 2 enhances shopper's experience by adding a floating ‘Feedback’ button and a fully functional feedback form on every page of the website.

Upon submission, the feedback form sends an email with customer details to the store owner. Add google ReCaptcha functionality to protect the site from spam.

The store admin can set the Feedback form in the left, right, top, or bottom position. Also controls the behavior to open feedback form on click or hover.

Settings

In the admin control panel from Solwin >> Customer Feedback >> Configuration menu, the Customer Feedback magento 2 extension allows store owners to enable disable the module in the store and provide more configuration options.

There are many configuration options in the Configuration tab. Let’s discuss this in more detail.

  • Enable Customer Feedback: Yes | No.

reCaptcha

  • Enable reCaptcha: Yes | No.
  • Captcha Theme: Light | Dark.
  • Captcha Site Key: Enter google recaptcha site key.
  • Captcha Secret Key: Enter google recaptcha secret key.
  • Captcha Error Message: Enter captcha message for invalid authentication.

Email Setup Options

  • Send Emails To: Set a sender email address.
  • Email Sender: Select email sender.
  • Email Template: Select a custom email template.

Feedback Tab Slider Setting

  • Image For Tab Slider: Upload tab slider image.
  • Image Height: Set image height.
  • Image Width: Set image width.
  • Action: Click | Hover.
  • Tab Location: Left | Right | Top | Bottom.
  • Offset: Set offset for feedback tab (Set tab distance in pixel).

How To Configure

To view the complete list of customer feedback, Go to Solwin >> Customer Feedback >> Manage Feedback.

Feedback Information

  • Name: Display customer name.
  • Email: Display customer email.
  • Phone: Display Customer phone number.
  • Call Me: If yes then the store owner can contact through phone.
  • Website: Display Customer website.
  • Message: Display Customer feedback.
  • Page Url: Display Custom Page Url.
  • Status: Open | Resolved.

How To Use

On the front side, customer can view the feedback button on every page. When a user clicks or hovers on the button then it displays a feedback form with several fields like Name, Email, Phone, Website, Message & Google ReCaptcha.
