Print Order PDF - Magento 2 Extension

Introduction

Installation

If you purchased an extension from Magento Marketplace then click on the How to Install Magento 2 Extension to install the extension.


If you purchased an extension from Solwin Site then follow the below steps to install the extension.

Installation Process

Note: Please take a backup of your all Magento files and database before installing or updating any extension.

Download the extension file:
  1. Download the Delete Order extension .ZIP file from solwininfotech.com using your Solwin Infotech website account.
  2. Extract the .ZIP file which contains another .ZIP files.
  3. If you have purchased the extension for the Community Edition, then you will see the extension .ZIP file for Magento 2.2.x, Magento 2.3.x, and Magento 2.4.x version.
    If you have purchased the extension for the Enterprise Edition, then you will see the extension .ZIP file for Magento 2.2.x and Magento 2.3.x version.
Extension Installation

For Magento 2 Community Edition,

  1. If you are using Magento 2.2.x then you need to extract solwin-PrintOrderPdf-m2-2.2.x.zip file.
    If you are using Magento 2.3.x, Magento 2.4.x then you need to extract solwin-PrintOrderPdf-m2.zip file.

For Magento 2 Enterprise Edition,

  1. If you are using Magento 2.2.x then you need to extract solwin-PrintOrderPdf-m2-EE-2.2.x.zip file.
    If you are using Magento 2.3.x then you need to extract solwin-PrintOrderPdf-m2-EE.zip file.

Following 2 to 6 steps are the same for Community and Enterprise edition.

  1. Copy the app folder and paste it into your magento ROOT directory.

  2. Run upgrade command as specified : php bin/magento setup:upgrade.
  3. Run deploy command as specified : php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy -f.
  4. Clear the cache either from the admin panel or command line php bin/magento cache:clean.
  5. Now, you can see the Solwin menu in the admin panel. Please go to Solwin -> Print Order PDF -> Configuration and select Enable to Enable.
  6. Change/Set all other options as per your requirements and save settings.

NOTE: Make sure the installation is done from under the FTP administrator account. Otherwise make sure to set 775 permissions to the store root directory after the extension is deployed.

Information

Print Order PDF Magento 2 extension provides the functionality to the store admin and customer to print order PDF. The Print Order PDF Magento 2 extension allows to printing order PDFs to both customer registered and guests. The store admin can set a custom label for the Print order PDF button. The extension allows the store admin to print orders with any order status, even if the order has not been invoiced yet.

The store admin can Print multiple orders PDFs at once.

  • Allow store admin to print orders without invoices from the order grid and order details page.

Settings

In the admin control panel from Solwin >> Print Order PDF >> Configuration menu, the Print Order PDF Magento 2 extension allows the store owners to enable or disable the module in the store and provide more configuration options for Print Order PDF.

  • Enable: Yes | No.
  • Display Print Order Button: Yes | No.
  • Display Print Order Button Text: Enter text for the print order button.
  • Display Print Order In Sales Grid Dropdown: Yes | No.
  • Display Print Order Grid Action Text: Enter text for the print order grid action button.

To Display logo and address with Order PDF, go to STORES >> Configuration >> SALES >> Sales >> Invoice and Packing Slip Design.

How To Use

To print orders from the grid, go to SALES >> Orders.

Click on View to go to an Order detail page.

The store admin can print orders from the order detail page also.

On the front end, on the My Orders tab, registered customers can view, Print Order PDF button after clicking on the "View" link.

The guest customers click on "Orders and Returns" from the footer.

The guest customer can find his/her order by filling out this form.

Here, the Print Orders PDF link will display.

When guest customers click on the 'Print Orders PDF' link, it will open the order print page in PDF format.
